Hl.Corona

Before the pandemic, hardly anyone knew this Egyptian martyr. Now her name is on everyone's lips: Corona (also Stefana) patroness against diseases and epidemics. St. Corona is also revered in the Catholic Church as the patroness of money, butchers and treasure hunters. That is why the HL. Corona usually depicted with the following attributes: two palm trees, a crown and a piece of gold or a treasure chest. Crown and palm branches are included in our scope of delivery. She is about 19 cm tall. According to legend, she lived around 160 AD in present-day Egypt at the time of the persecution of Christians. She was martyred at the age of 16 for her confession of Christ: tied between two palm trees that were pulled down, she was torn to pieces when her persecutors let them fly upwards. Her memorial day is May 14th. There are relics of the saints in the Marienstift in Aachen. Holy Corona has been worshiped since the earliest times, especially in Austria and Bavaria. In Germany alone, 8 places of worship are named after St. Corona!
