On the subject of sustainability
For a long time, the creative workshop has been thinking about how to make the production of the figures sustainable. Economical use of natural resources is very important to us. We have managed to establish business relationships with some partners from whom we can buy already produced goods with small defects. This material will not be destroyed, but will continue to be used by us.
Here some examples:
• To wrap the sisal, we used, among other things, expired, unused gauze bandages.
• We get undershirts from the clothing store. These are processed in the workshop and used as wrapping material.
• For the clothing we use cotton and linen fabrics from household liquidations. These are partially colored.
• All leather goods (e.g. shoes, costume parts and bags) are made from old, discarded leather jackets/coats.
• We use dried shrubs from our garden for the shepherd's crooks.
